How are we doing?
Here is a quick update on a few health care measures that are provided to us from the state of Vermont.
We also want to say thank you to all of the patients who participated in our annual patient satisfaction surveys. Your feedback is valuable to us.
Data taken from the 2015 Blueprint for Health Initiative practice profile. Data is provided by the Vermont Health Care Uniform Reporting and Evaluation System (VHCURES). Morrisville Family Health Care is compared to the Health Service Area (HSA) and the statewide performance. Data shown is for the calendar year 2015. You can find the Morrisville HSA Profile at Blueprint for Health profiles.
According to the 2016 CAHPS Patient Satisfaction Survey Top Box scores*, our patients rated “Access” as 58.15% which was lower than the previous year at 64.91%. These questions were in relation to how soon you were able to get an appointment as soon you needed, telephone response wait times, and if you had to wait long for you doctor at your appointment.
Our “Shared Decision Making” scores increased from 66.67% to 73.95%. Shared decision making refers to communication between you and your PCP when you are discussing treatment options (such as taking a medication.)
Our internal patient survey also showed that only 50% of patients were aware that we offer a sliding fee discount. We are working hard to increase awareness and hopefully help any of our patients who may benefit from this program.
*Top box scores indicate excellence performance for a measure (“always”, “yes”, “a lot”)
